Family Beach Photo Shoot
Holidaying in Cornwall?
I'm so lucky I finally get to live in my dream location in Newquay, Cornwall. I've been holidaying here for over 30 years but now it's home for me. Before moving here, I booked a local photographer (my wonderful friend Sophie) to take family portraits on the beach of us. These are some of my favourite photos ever taken as they just ooze the joy that being in Cornwall gives you.

I booked my photoshoots with Sophie because I was always the mum that was organising the days out, packing the lunches, taking the photos but never in them. So for me these beach photoshoots were an essential part of my family memories and for me to be a part of the family photo album for years to come.
Victoria featured below has been bringing Henry for photos since he was born. I was lucky enough to capture him as a newborn, his 1st birthday cake smash and every Christmas for a mini photoshoot. You can imagine my excitement when Victoria booked me to capture their family holiday here in Cornwall. To photograph 3 generations playing, laughing and jumping in the sea is why I love my job. I love the pure joy on Victoria's face when she's playing with Henry, she is such a wonderful mother and I hope these photos represent her as the beautiful person that she is.
Knowing that these moments have been frozen in time, to be displayed in their home and etched in to their memories forever and passed down to generations to come makes me so happy to know I've given them something to treasure.
The nostalgia that comes with turning the pages of a family album and seeing the history of your family is so special. It's a permanent record of where you went, who you were with, occasions with loved ones and times you can relive, talk about and enjoy all over again.
Be in front of the camera, be present in the photo album don't hide behind the camera taking them of everyone else make your mark in the family album. Be the love and joy on the family photo album pages.
