How Do You Choose The Right Wedding Photographer?...
Choosing the right wedding photographer is extremely important; in fact, it’s one of
the most vital tasks on your wedding to do list.
When considering your choices, it's crucial to find a professional who understands
your vision for your wedding day and can document it with style (such as – Pictures
and Petals.) You’ll also want someone you trust and feel relaxed with since he or she
will be by your side throughout your wedding day.
To help you find the right wedding photographer, we’ve put together a bullet list of
ideas to think about, and have also put the spotlight on one of our most favourite
photographers, Pictures and Petals.
What to think about when choosing your wedding photographer…
Think about your style, are you going whimsical and bohemian or are you
wanting a chic and elegant wedding – consider this when you are doing your
research so you can work out if they fit with you?
Look at their portfolio – bob along to their website and special profiles. Look at
the weddings they have shot, quality of images and how many weddings they
have been part of.
Have they experience of the venue you are getting married at? – ask this
upon consultation with them and ask them to send some example shots.
Have they a backup - what is their backup plan if they are unwell, or if there is
an emergency? What are their plans if they cannot make it? There would be
nothing worse than having a no show on your wedding day.
Meet them first, take time to sit with a few photographers you like the sound
of. If everything FEELS right whilst you chat, then they're the one!
